December brings with it the Christmas atmosphere that will finally begin to spread through the alleys of Pennabilli!

Once again this year, the marvellous cribs scattered around the village return for the second edition of the City of Cribs:

- Crib on the Rupe, one of the largest in Italy, which for 25 years has dominated Pennabilli from above

- Traditional nativity scenes in Villa Maindi

- Nativity scenes by the pupils of the Istituto Comprensivo Padre O. Olivieri placed in the most evocative areas of Pennabilli

- Handcrafted animated crib set up inside the Town Hall

- Living nativity scene, Sunday 22 December at 5 p.m.

In addition, a workshop on nativity scenes will be held on Sunday 1 December.

Many other events will take place simultaneously throughout the month! Here is the complete calendar:

- CHRISTMAS MARKETS: with stalls at traditional locations in the city on Sundays 1-8-15-22 December;

- CRIME LABORATORIES: Sunday 1 December;

- APPOINTMENT IN THE SQUARE FOR LIGHTING THE LUMINARS AND CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS: Sunday 1 December on the first Sunday of Advent;

- CHRISTMAS BABY RUN: from 2 p.m. on Sunday 8 December, open to children and young people aged 3 to 14. Incentive for sporting activity and fun. Free refreshments and prize-giving for all participants on arrival;

- CHRISTMAS CHOIRS IN THE SQUARE: Sunday 8 December at 4 p.m;

- CHRISTMAS TALES: Sunday 15 December from 3.30 p.m. in the Pennabilli square;

- BABBO NATALE IN THE SQUARE TO RECEIVE CHILDREN'S LETTERS: Sunday 15 December;

- LIVING CHRISTMAS CRIB: Sunday 22 December at 5 pm in the streets of the village of Pennabilli;

- LAST OF THE YEAR ALL IN THE PIAZZA: to welcome in the New Year, at 11.00 p.m., the Main Square comes alive with songs and music, in anticipation of the New Year around the brazier on which the "Vecchia" will be sacrificed. Sparkling wine, panettone, grapes and other good wishes, superstitious rites and fireworks.
